Update details regarding New Solar Power Projects

NVVN was incorporated on 1st Nov 2002 and received the Certificate for Commencement of Business Activities from the Registrar of Companies on 26^th Nov 2002. It has an authorized and paid up share capital of Rs. 200 million.

NVVN is promoted by NTPC Limited, the leader in power generation and having excellent track record in creating energy infrastructure in India. The promoter provides strong managerial, technical and financial backup to NVVN.

GOVERNMENT COMPANY

NVVN being a 100% owned subsidiary of NTPC Ltd, is also a deemed government company under the Companies Act 1956. By virtue of being a government company, NVVN would continue to enjoy strong credibility in the trading market.

PROFESSIONAL MANPOWER

NVVN employees have been drawn from the professional manpower pool of NTPC. Most of the employees are engineers and chartered accountants having extensive experience in dealing various technical and commercial issues in NTPC.

The Company was granted Category-E licence by the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) for inter-state trading of electricity on 23^rdJul 2004. The trading licence has been upgraded to Category-F Licence on 22^nd Mar 2005 by CERC.
